Sorry I missed your message. All if the glamour trucks (67-72) were set up for a 396 so, if you can find the 396 mounts the frame is already drilled and the engine just drops in. no clearance problems but headers are a bear. The only ones that fit are Sanderson BB headers but you have to relocate the oil filter. That motor is really long so, trans crossmember get's moved way back. I stripped the truck to a bare frame for powdercoating then mounted all of the mechanicals before re-fitting the body. Made it much easier. Finally got the truck re-wired and that carb tuned so I could take it to the track. I can't get enough rubber under it to pull a wheelstand and I'm really not happy with the times yet. It's running a JW racing turbo 400 with a 3000 rpm stall 11 in converter and .410 rear gears.
Ya my new transmission is great. I'm very quick off the launch but I have to shift to fast. I'm going to switch to 3.73s. That way the gears will match perfectly. I have a question. The 4L60E in my 1995 k2500 broke on me. Do you know a shop that I can order a new one from? I have been a victim of fraud so I want to make sure of the company. Thanks.

man i want to go but my car was breaking up on the big end,i went 10.32 at 134 mph but i could"nt hook.i was only 60 footn a 170, I know what my problem is. i got to get my fourlink and my pinion angle adjusted.im allso in the proscess of changing my carbs to dominators cause my breaking up problem was lack of fuel,but any ways im going to get the bat mobile back together,and be back next week.wanted to come up to meet u but u know how racing is.give me a holler.
whats up robin its me battman,i went to 42 last tuesday, i was looking to see if i seen my partner robin.im headed back out there on the 14th to try agin,didnt get to get it off the trailer.(broke a lifter)and tore up the cam,but 700 and some change & he"s back to normal. (give me a holler)
Well, I stayed with the company that gave us the 700r4. We blew the gears in two trannys that were rated at 550hp; so they sent us a 700r4 that handles 800hp. It works well however with the 4.11s in the rear we get into 3rd to quickly. We need to swap the rear end to 3.73s

Finished putting in a Dana 60 with moser axles and 3.73 in place of the 12 bolt Chevy with 4:88. The Big Block 511 does not need that much gear, and now I can terrorize on the freeway. Get out there and get it DONE!
