The Trans Am in my profile was purchased new by my brother John Dunne in 1977. It was restored from the ground up by myself in 1991, The engine was bored .030 over and 9.5:1 pistons were installed along with Edelbrock Cam and Intake manifold set as well as Holley 750 Carb and Hooker headders. The car has 3.08 gearing and runs strong yet still gets 20+ miles per gallon. The graphics were hand painted by my best friend Gerry Dunphy in 1991. My brother passed away in 2007 and left me the Trans Am in his estate. I have done all the work on the Trans Am since new and basically I know this car inside and out.The blue 1977 Formula I restored as a Wedding present for my Son and is a sleeper, looking like showroom on the outside the Pontiac 400 is beefed up to put 500 ponies on the rear wheels with a set of 4.10 gears, we call it the 40-40 car .... 40 minute cruise - 40 bucks in fuel.
