does any body now how far you can build an engine and still run it on propane can you help
The good thing about propane is the 110 octain rating. You can run 11to1 compression on the street. You need more ign timing thow ( 43 to 45 deg total advance ) The problem comes with the propane carbs, most are to small. ( 425 cfm ) You could run a duel quad manafold and have 2 carbs. (850 cfm) might be a bit to much for a 350 unless your eng is 500 h/p or more. I have seen a commercial 650 cfm propane carb. (only ever seen 1 of them ). Goodluck.
