I've been thinking about my childhood lately, and memories of cars have been coming back, and how I started my "illness" with cars.
We lived in a small rural community and my summers were pretty much do as I pleased.
If it was nice out, I’d be outside, going everywhere. All that was required of me were a few simple chores I could whip through in no time. My love for old cars festered and junkyards and abandoned homes that still had derelict old cars sitting around were added to my… Continue

Alright. This should really go without saying. It really, really, really should. If you are a member of mypowerblock.com, you know that the entire idea behind it is to gather people together that have similar interests in the automotive hobby. Correct? Right! So, with that being said, it is a common denominator on said site that people take pride in telling about and showing off their car. Again, correct? Yes! So, why are there so many members on this site that seem to maintain the redundant… Continue

You ever just sit back and think to yourself, what the hell was I thinking? Lol. I seem to do that a lot lately. Reflecting on my earlier days, well I'm only 24 so I guess not much earlier, I can say that there are a lot of things that I have done right, but a lot of things I could have done better. A saying comes to mind. "If only I knew then what I know now." So true. But there is a flip side to this. If we all knew then what we know now, there just wouldnt be much to life. You wouldnt make… Continue

March 18, 2009, Can you imagine walking around in the 21st Century? Well, it's been a long time since my last post here. I have a shop (run by friends),that is doing the work on it. BTW, you cannot build anything without at least, the assistance of friends! Even if it's only to wish you success.
Back to the car. It is now on a fixture and the tubing has been cut, the frame was found to have a severe twist in it. OK, after some few tries, the lower tube on the right has been 'massaged' back… Continue

Ive taken notice to this far too often lately. Am I not right when I say that this is a site for car enthusiasts? This is a site where people can show off their rides, throw out some pictures of local car shows, and shoot the crap about anything with wheels. Right? So why is it that it seems like it is starting to attract an audience that is more into the "myspace" type of site. For instance, what is it with all of these guys posting their pictures of their mugs on here? I dont wand to know… Continue

These are some shots of my 67 F100 Custom. It sits on a 1982 F150 frame and is now powered by a 351W, C6 trans and 208 transfer case. Body mounts were removed, modified, and re installed to the 67 body. Box mounts were made to bolt onto the side of the frame. A 6" Pro Comp lift kit was installed and 35" Tires. The local Ford dealer gave me a good deal on a crate 351w Ford Racing motor. Transmission and transfer case were both rebuilt by National Transmission. A serpintine conversion kit was… Continue

It’s a matching numbers ’70 Torino with a Cobra Jet 429 that makes a conservative 375 horses. It’s a four speed with shaker hood that you’ll need to see the before picture on The PowerBlock this weekend to understand how far this car has come back from. Al Morgan and the team at Mid Southern Restorations
in Cookeville, Tennessee did one… Continue

I dont know how many people are actually reading my blog posts but I figured, what the heck, its worth a shot!
So, after 3 long years since the last vehicle purchase I made, I feel it is time once again to hit the market. With the decline of the automotive sales industry, maybe my purchase will help stimulate it just a little bit. But, honestly, that has nothing to do with my buying decision. To be quite frank, I just want a new car!
I am torn between luxury and sport. Do I want a… Continue

Im lookin to buy an f-150, early 90's model. my price range is around 1000 to 1200 max, considering im still in highschool and just lookin for a first truck. my goal is to lift it (alot) put mudtires on it, and paint it cherry red, so if any of that has already been done, thats great.
