Ok, you aren't going to believe this, but those are 03 Bullitt wheels. They fit because the entire floorpan and suspension on my car is a 95 Mustang GT. Well, the front control arms are foxbody because they are shorter. We actually cut both cars a...

Hey guys! Hadn't been here for a while, thanks for the support! I have been in Fla. on a business trip since Oct. 16 and haven't had a chance to touch the car. I've been ordering a pile of parts though, and plan to have the engine bay complete and...

Ok, here's the condensed version, planning to blog the whole story soon.

Started with a '68 coupe bought (bartered for) from a buddy. Was gonna restore but the OEM and repro parts were going to be in the ten thousands. Saw a website about another resto/mod/build and thought "we can do that, sort of". So, the continuing story is essentially two guys in a barn, on a super tight budget, building a hot rod from junkyards.

Second step was the GT, $350 with no rearend, and the saga has continued from there.

Right now 12/08 its nearly ready for initial assembly to be driveable. Nearly 2 years, and I haven't even driven it yet.

Check the blogs for the step by step. Well, as much as I can remember now.

Stimulus Package

Ok, I realize everybody forwards miscellaneous emails to their friends because they are funny, or whatever, so I figured I could send a rant/idea that no one would really want to hear, because it happens to everyone, every day.

I want $5000 of stimulus money. And it would help out many, many people.

I'd use it to finish Donna Jo's (my wife) '68 Mustang.

Some would go to mail order parts houses, helping not only the manufacturers of the parts, the distributors of the parts, but the shipping co… Continue

In the beginning

My wife has always wanted a classic Mustang. I have always wanted to build a car. So, in early 07 when a buddy of mine said his brother had a '68 that needed work, I jumped at the chance. I talked to my buddy Terry, who has a beautiful '56 F100, and he said I could use his shop and tools and such, in exchange for "help" (read dirty work) around the shop while he worked on other projects.

So, in March 07 Robert delivered the 68 to my parents from his house in eastern North Carolina. She rolled o… Continue

Thanks for the response. I ran the serial number on the unit through the computer and it turns out its a Pioneer transmiter unit. Do you know how or where it goes in the car. Its got no wires or anything with it and i have no idea how to get it back together.
