I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but I'll say it any way for the people looking. On an axle like a Dana it must be flipped over and the knuckles swapped and flipped, not because of the steering but because the ball joints/king pins will also...

no ....proof that neons hold up alot better in an 80 mph accident that resulted 1 end over end flip and 8 side rolls than I would ever have imagined.Hell I spent less than 12 hrs in the hospital.

This is my 1998 Grand cherokee I've put a lot of time in it over the years starting from a 3" Teraflex lift to this beast of a driver/hard core crawler I built, with no end in sight.
Abbreviated Parts List:
HP dana 60 front, 35 slpine chromoly shafts, FF 14 bolt rear 5.13's, spool up front ARB in back, and disc breaks front and rear. one ton drive shafts from High angle driveline, T-case brake. PSC hydro assist with full high steering. custom rock sliders bumpers and now caged and plated rear, rancho 9000's, 39.5" rockers, dual lamp PIAA's. Custom Dual exhaust, K&N cold air intake is enough to wake the stock 5.2l 170'000 mile motor up. Infinity stereo "not stock", JVC NX-5000 deck.

I'm now starting on my newest build, a Samurai. I've chosen this because of several reasons, First is the price, free 90 free, thanks to a freind cleaning out his yard, second is gas mileage, compaired to my jeep.........well there is no comparison, Third is I'm just sick of seeing YJ's TJ's everywhere I understand they are easy to modify with everything being "bolt on" and "off the shelf" I like to built something myself after all its half of the fun! Now I've already got the truck and have a complete toyota 20R and running gear ready to put in. I'm planning on doing a coil front and a YJ spring over in the back. It is going to sit on 33" MTR's I'll post more as I progress.

Samurai completed

I've finally completed my samurai. It took me only a few months, thanks to my day job slowing down. I finished the 20r upgrade and man... it was worth it. It has more power than the VW turbo diesel that I installed in a sammy a few years back, not as good of mileage though. It has a weber 38, header, ignition kit, new double roller timing chain, rod bearings, and seals. The axles are from a toy pickup that had the 4.30 gears, and lockers, I put trail ready high steer and a toy IFS power steering… Continue

sammy build

I decided while I had the front clip off to add power steering and a GM alternator. I fabricated the alt. brackets from 1/4 flat stock, and modified the adjuster bracket with a stock sammy one. I then used a jeep grand power steering pump and reservoir (guess where that came from). I adapted the hoses to run a toy IFS power steering box. I used a stock toyota PS pump bracket re drilled some holes and added some small spacers to the back side to get the belt to align. next was the tensioner I tri… Continue

Sammy build

So far I'm into the sammy 750$ with wheels and tires but the motor/tranny is in place and all I have left is a carb and timing chain. then I'll start on the suspension a friend gave me his old YJ springs so I'll be running those for now. I think I'll be under 2,000 by the time I'm done and I'll have a tough little beater to drive around to keep the miles off my jeep.
