I don't know if anybody is keeping track, we are about 9 weeks into the 68 442 project. Everything is going good, knock on wood. We hope to be done with this one, in about 3 to 4 weeks. Time to start putting it back together.

So many questions. What's correct for my car?

Back in the late 60’s and early 70’s Americans built the muscle car. Boy those were the days. They don’t build them like that any more, and that’s a good thing. The big 3 would have been put out of business a log time ago. You go to a car show, check out some rides, talk to the guys about cars. Every body knows how it was done. One guy tells you this, and another tells you that. Who’s right, and where do you go to find out. Chances are both may be right depending on the car and where it was buil… Continue

Yes, I have been restoring Olds for over 20 Years now. I still get the chills when a car is completed. I do all GM muscle, check out my group with my web site. Just started the site a few weeks ago. It's still in the works but pretty cool.

nice to see like minded musclecar owners out there..that red w-30 is by far 1 of the niceest undercarriages I have ever seen in an olds...I'd have to say that car is straight outta of the 70 Oldsmobile Assemby manual for sure....I wish either 1 of mine was near as detailed...I'm just satisfied with them being frame up and correctly restored...but that car certainly sets the bar very high no doubt about it.....great to hear from you...I like the Hurst Olds too...keep up the great work....Oldsdroptop

It's true about what about the quality in your above blog.
when I was stripping my frame of 40 years of grime,
I noticed the welding on the sub frame I thought the car must have been in a major wreck so I started shopping for a new frame
they are all like that.
it was before robots all hand welds.
I think mine was made the day after St Patrick's day two holes blown through in one spot slag every where.
now I'm finding the same goes for body gaps.
but it's all fun........most of the time
