What kind of noise do you hear while cranking? Your problem could be just about anything from a lose flexplate bolt, cracked flexplate, lose starter, ?/?????

It would be easier if you could try to explain the noise, clacking, grinding, rubbing, etc... and does the noise continue once it is started?
