just finsihed a major up grade to my explorer... i installed 35 spline chrommoly axles a mark williams third member and a chrommoly full spool.... no more stock stuff in there.. i am going to try to put a second transfer case it this summer..
these two riggs were built in our drive ways. with the bear nasties. it tolk me about 7 months to built my explorer working on it only on the weekends.. it is done and done right and yes it is street legal..

Does that make it hard to turn on the street ? with the full spool ? the rear end in your truck is it a 8.8 ? The next thing I plan on doing is replacing my 7.5 with a 8.8 .I would like to put a spool in the front , but haven't seen any for the dana 28 .
joe that is one sweet exploder. what year is it? is the engine stock? what did you use for axles? i have a 93 i am going to lift when i get more money. also what gears are you using and what size tires? thanks
ya i've been out a fair bit it is working good i do need longer front shocks though. the 302 sounds fun i've thought of doing that swap but the 4.0 does good especially with the gears. i'm working on a tube buggy with a 351w dana 60 rear and a high pinion dana44 for know
yes i did install mine it rides good haven't flex then\m out yet i had one pop out of the upper bucket so let me know if there is a trick to keeping them in would be appreciated thanx
that sounds like a good upgrade, those ifs coil sit at 18 inches , i am curious if you had to change your coil buckets,i did order my coil but i went with deaver coils
thanx, those were the coils i was thinking of going with now i think i will. just curiuos if you know how long those coils are when the truck is sitting flat in your driveway. are you working on any other projects? i am trying to rebiuld a 70 mustang coupe but there is alot of rust so i am learning as i am going.
