If anything test the Altenator. I went through a crossing like that, the altenator crapped out on me a few days later thanks to it being underwater (and mud)
I would disconect the neg on your batt let your computer re-set and see if the code comes back up ... the water could have hit something to give u a false error code
Error code 12 will be the code that always comes on. It let's you know that the self-diagnostics are working properly., that's all. Never fear.
