GTR New Front End

Installed the new F/E. I think the stock F/E is a little boring. it is clean, but it lacks the aggressiveness the car should embody. I have mostly classic muscle cars but this one is true to the name "Godzilla". Man it pulls all the way up in the…

GT/R Ready for Fun

Just a basic pic of the latest add to my little collection of cars. Never thought I would own a Nissan based on all the muscle cars I have. But this is a BLAST to drive. Man it goes FFFFAAAASSSSTTTT.

Raced today

Well I got to race at Irwindale speedway today. What a blast. Cars are Chevy platform with around 500 hp and 2,500 lbs so they move pretty darn good. I'm in the 48 car.1/2 mile oval and speeds up to about 130 mph. And I got to pass a bunch of folks on the track. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to race…See More

On the Road

Well I finally got the 69 convertible on the road. Way too many days spent troubleshooting the brakes. After doing everything possible at least twice, we started looking at the line (which was brand new) to see if it was crimped or pinched somewhere.  this is where it gets really funny. the guy that installed the brake line apparently had some issue with fluid leaking or something as he was putting it in. So he decided to put a vise grip on the rubber part of the line right before the…See More

Brakes on 69 still not working

Well it turns out the brakes still do not work on the 69 Camaro.  CPP would not work with me any longer since I did not purchase them direct from them so I had to find my invoice and call the distributor. kind of crappy for CPP to do that really. The result is the proportioning valve is bad. That is what CPP suspected but would not send me a new one since I did not buy it directly from them. I have one on the way and should have this on the road next week.  another nice thing about the…See More

69 Camaro Convertible Brake Adjustment

Worked on the brake system today and I think I got it fixed. The CPP proportioning unit showed an issue with the brakes (light on by connecting the switch unit to a positive lead on the car). Botton line is we got the light to go out by alternating the bleeding between the front and rear brakes. CPP says you should hear a pop when the valve repositions correctly but we never did. I plan to take it out for a quick drive tomorrow.  It should be 77 and sunny.  Nice.  We will see if we got this one…See More

69 Camaro Convertible

The 69 Convertible is getting closer to being on the road. I got the seat belts installed after dealing with a nasty broken bolt stuck in one of the mounting h***s in the floor. Fabbed up some seat mounting brakets since there were none to match the after market seats to the Camaro floor. Then installed the seats and decided to take it for a spin. That is when I noticed the rear brakes were dragging.  I purchased a CPP 4-Wheel Disc conversion kit that included everything. Somehow the…See More
