Oh, and as for "slipping", that sounds more like a clutch issue in the transmission. There's really nothing to slip in the axle.
You said he told you that, on the road it "jerks". A "jerking" and a "slipping" seem to be different to me. Slipping ...
If it truly is something in the rear end causing it to jerk (I'm thinking gear teeth broken), then just pulling the shaft will not help. Those (possibly) broken teeth will keep catching at times and could prove disastrous.
I don't think it sounds ...
Congrats Tony! I'm still loving my first Jeep too! Thought I'd regret getting it, but not even close! BTW....love those Ohio Plates too. Whereabouts in the state are you? I'm near Toledo.
Also check your local salvage yards. Always a possibility there too, but donnie had a good suggestion with Davey's Jeeps. If they don't currently have it...they will most surely have it in the future (if not, find one for you).
That's a sweet flame job! I'd never do that to my jeep though, cuz I'd beat it to hell on the first trail!! Tree branches and scrub brush scratches!!! (oh.....and so do rocks!!!) lol
Just means it's sealed pretty well, but I would think the rear glass would latch better! Try rolling down your window an inch or two when you close the last door (if two are getting in). This will allow the air pressure to escape. I have an '05 wi...
I've thought about doing this when the 4.0 get's tired, but it'll be a while. I've only got 65,000 miles on it now. IMHO, Chrysler really missed the boat by not offering a 4 cyl turbo diesel in these, like they did in the Liberty's for two years.

No problem. Hope you find what you need. I've not been to the "Style" lately, but I know there's a lot of great people there willing to help too, if the classifieds hold nothing. BTW, my screen name there is "sputnik72".
Also, for chrome re-finish...
Not sure what there may be here, but have you checked the classifieds at www.moparstyle.com? Excellent site for ALL things MOPAR. Arguably the best MOPAR site on the net!
Wow. Umm, I'd say anyone who is even thinking about answering, would need more info. Like, mainly, how are you planning on using the XJ? Simpler trails? Rock crawling? Mudding? Really might make a difference in how people answer and what opinions ...
Hey Tracy, I just posted the finished version with music, the way we intended it to be...I did not use the music version on PB because of their copyright agreement, youtube has the OK from certain bands for users to use their music. As for my video, we had it on a tripod or stationary, we were not going for the wavy/talking type...and someone posted tread lightly stuff on it, I guess they just expected it to be public on land! Watch out for the video police! LOL.
