I bought this jeep in 04 it was in a friend's side yard in three 55 gallon drums. it was on its way to a off the frame resto but as the story goes he lost intrest or money time and space.
so i put it back together balljoints brakes AtoZ shocks .every thing mechancil it started with a 151 four cyl and four inch lift but it was to tipy wond up rolling it. os i wound up lowering it back to stock height and got rid of the 33s and put on a set of 9.50x30 Goodyears
and pulled out the four cyl.out of it and put in a 305 tpi engine .
its a nice inprovement in power and handling . still have to put on the sway bar
i had a lot of fun putting it together and still not done yet.

it is a 4 cyl. 5 speed. eventhough it is a 4 banger, would messing with the timming still result in more power?

Wow, keeping yourself busy there Tom. Wouldnt mind seeing that other project when it is done too!

And also too, yes, you can use the MSD ign module with computer controlled ignition. I have put them on LT1 Trans Ams and such. I am currently running a basic MSD6A on my 92 Chevy truck. What you need is the same coil adapter kit I used on my truck. I will get you part numbers later if you want, I have to get going to work now. But if you do find another control module you prefer, that is good too. I am old school when it comes to ignition parts that are out there, and MSD was the best when I first started building cars years ago, and stuck with them ever since. That doesnt mean that there isnt any other good ones now though.
