"Sweet and sinsister at the same time. You know one guy found out that a mid eighties Malibu frame fits under this body almost exact> then a smooth LSX engine would give a life to this body style that it has always deserved. And good brakes"
"I think Corvairs are COOL!! My dad drove our new Corvair home on my 1st birthday, and we had that car for almost 30 years. My dad and I dropped the motor onto a small, red wagon and rebuilt it ourselves. We did get the car running for a short while,…"
"for the rust only a little bubbleing at the back wheel wells on all four tires and yess it is all original brought from arizona 8 years ago thats why it has bubbleing because it's in indiana"
thanks, I know of a place in massachusets called clark's corvair, i live in ontario canada so i was just looking for something a little closer, but thanks anyway though.
as for the 63? tubbed with the new huge by large 20 inche rubber on classic design 20 inch rims would combine the new with still classic looks. a 6.2 LS engine under the hood would add to the modern wow factor and give you solid reliable easy power. a 5 or six speed manual would be a good topper. i would top it off with a heavily insulated luxury interior to be above average different from the typical customized old school trucks with power everything. automatic trans would require some modern paddle shifters to maintaint the cool factor
love all of the cool old VAIR's there mon. i have always wanted to find a wrecked porsche gt3 and place the body of a clean late mod VAIR body over the top of it to then go blow all the wealthy wanker toys off of mulholland drive with it. their $200 and $300,000 toys being stressed by an old corvair would be classic. the pics of the sweet old iron half submerged and forgotten brings a tear to the ol heart strings though. memories of past fishin h***s that i used to find also in the 60's and 70's. what are we just casting off today that someone else 40 years from now will cringe about?
