Third try to get this on the site. I just bought a 51 Ford 4-door sedan yesterday. It will provide a top, front fenders, hood, trunk, and a large bunch of hard to find peces. It was undercoated in the past so the floorboards are good too. After I use all necessary parts, I'll put the rest up for sale.

My FED will rise again
I am getting more info on where to get parts to replace those damaged in an excursion through the forest at the end of the track. BTW, it's not a nice place to visit if you are moving rapidly.
I have an old SPE dragster 1967 to be exact. It had been rebuilt over a twelve year period and bent in an instant. My FED will rise like a Phoenix
March 18, 2009, Can you imagine walking around in the 21st Century? Well, it's been a long time since my last post here. I have a shop (run by friends),that is doing the work on it. BTW, you cannot build anything without at least, the assistance of friends! Even if it's only to wish you success.

- You spike, How are you? Im wondering should i use the same torque converter i originally had, the one that came with the replacement tranny or get a supposively "new" one ( looks spray paintd to me) and i do not know the stahl numbers. Does this make any sense??

- Hey spike.. I got a Th 350 with the torque converter in trade for a set of O.G 14 inc tru-spokes.. The house was a bank forcloser and i believe it was as-is..?? I did go to the local HomeDepot and purchase some tile, left it alone and then jumped to my kids bedroom. ( needed to get re-textured.. BTW.. other than metal chunks, if you know, what should i look for in the tranny? id like to do the job once.

- you make many good points spike. Its hard to give up on my Pantydropper but, for now; i have too many projects at the new house. ( the master bathroom "shower tile wall fell and broke"!) yup i have to replace the frigging wall and the house is only 10 years old......

- Seriously spike? i have a friend that has a 200 r-4 sitting outside his house. The person that gave it to him told me, just go pick it up and take it. " He aint doing $hi*( with it anyways!! If the 4 speed is better, than why not??

- Hey spike. Man it feels like its been a year since ive been here.. My oldest son was really sick and we ( him and i) spent halloween in the Hospital E.R All is better now Thank GOD. the house has us all really busy with the yard and the regular daily chores.... Good to hear from you, i will try and steer away from the CRAIGSLISTS..!!!!!!! But i might find myself searching the local wrecking yards! (whats the newest year i can get the 350 tranny from? Older montecarlo?)

- Hey spike.. What do you think if i go with a bone stock tranny pacakage from the wrecking yard? The economy has pantydropper stuck in "park" and it really sucks that it struggles to go down the driveway in neutral....
