"Bud, when you're right, you're right! I love my second-gen muscle car and I do enjoy driving it. The fact does remain, though, with classic car prices lower than I've ever seen them, it's a constant debate on whether or not to…"

"Cars are meant to be driven. If you are that worried about getting hit that you just keep your car parked then that defeats the purpose of ownership. I've driven every muscle car I've owned, yes I was a little paranoid that something…"

"I think your Torino is lovely! It sure makes me long for the days when I had a 74 1/2 Gran Torino Sport with a special order 4oo 4bbl. It's so hard to find parts for those beauties or we'd be looking to acquire one ourselves. Great job…"

Have you looked at "Classic" vehicle prices, lately??!??

It's pretty disconcerting when I see classic car prices going lower and lower.Don't get me wrong, I think everyone should have the opportunity to own and love a classic ride.  The lower prices do encourage average joe/joleen to experience the glory of having complete strangers mouthing "niceeee" whether you can hear them or not. What really bothers me is that I look at these cars as an investment. Not just the possible monetary gains.  I'm also talking about investing the time and money to make…See More

Classic Cars Stimulate Business!

On Saturday night, Sam and I deciced to take a much needed evening out. We drove his '55 Chevy to a local restaurant bar that we usually frequent late afternoons for a relaxing beer and a snack after work. While enjoying the music and conversation, a guy comes in and immediately asks, "Who's the owner of that old Chevy in the parking lot?" We heard his question, but before we could reply, at least three employees and a patron pointed at us. Now, I did mention we frequent this establishment, so…See More

My How We Love Our Cars

They just seem to effect every aspect of our lives. No matter how bad the day may be going, when we glimpse someone staring at our rides and mouthing, "Nice car", you have to smile. Good enough. Our trip to Missouri was a lot of fun, catching up with old friends and meeting new, eating good food, and sharing a lot of laughs. Sam says he gained 10 pounds in that one week we were there. I'd told him the food was better in general (besides my beloved Mexican cuisine) and now he wh***heartedly…See More

Visiting St Louis

We're looking forward to a visit to St Louis, MO. As it's my hometown, it's long overdue. Time spent with friends and family is precious, for sure. The thing that's getting me really excited is our planned stop at Fast Lane Classic Cars in St Charles, MO. That's Sam's beloved 55 Chevy came from.At Fast Lane they take a great deal of pride in their offerings and the classic car lifestyle in general. They have a car museum as well as a gift shop and offer free tours.I really can't wait to meet Joe…See More

"Yea a '55 Chevy is easier to work on. Just like a '55 Ford would be. Mustangs are a wh*** lot tighter but then again, so is a Camaro. My '01 F-150 is a lot harder to work on than my '69 Elco. So what? It's the price of…"

He likes his Chevy more than my Ford

What was I thinking?I should have known when I agreed to marry a dyed in the wool Cardinals fan and a Bowtie man that I was in for a fight... or two.It was understood early on that I'd start supporting the Cards. That wasn't too hard as I'd grown up in St Louis, even though their move to AZ hurt... a lot. And his encouragement in helping me get the classic Mustang, car of my dreams, looked like I was the winner, after all. But...Buying the new top and having it installed by a professional,…See More
