Hey all, I'm just getting into the trail and mud game. I've been a mechanic for a long time and seem to always be working on stuff for myself as well as others. I enjoy working on stuff it clears my head. The Chevota is my first rig and I can't wait to get it going and try it out. My kids like to hit the trails too so I need to get it going for them also. As time goes on I will get some pics of the rest of the toys. Maybe even on some videos of the rides. My friend John Roden has some videos of my Explorer on our first trail ride out at HillznHollarz. The list of toys keeps growing as I have a problem with selling things I only like to get them. I have some good friends and family to thank for the collection. The toys are :
2002 Honda 750 Shadow
1992 Ford Explorer
1984 Chevota
2002 Kawasaki ZR7S
1990 Yamaha 350 Warrior
1988 Kawasaki 220 Bayou
1977 Bomber bass boat w/ 70 Johnson

The garage is mine again...

After about 5 years I can drive through my garage, My neighbor took the truck home I had been storing for him. The chevota is sitting in the backyard, waiting for me to find the parts to fuel inject it. The boat is waiting on parts also, I made a mistake and ordered the wrong cable. The ZR7 has a front end on it now, I got a 97 Ninja set of forks for it. Thats when I found out what else was messed up. I now need a wheel and calipers as well as triple trees for it. I got the Shadow out for a wash… Continue

Chevota lives

With some help from my friends and son (THANKS) the Chevota is now moving under its own power. Matto changed out the parts from a transmission I got out of Johns truck. I had rebuilt it for him a few months back he upgraded to a Turbo 400 in his hotrod truck. John helped get it put in the truck and Dylan helped hook it all up. Kinda makes me feel useless with all the help I've been getting. I still have to give guidance but its not like doing it all myself. There is still a ton of things that ne… Continue

Update

Update time. We took the tranny apart a found big big trouble, things were not good. I am now in search of a rebuildable transmission. I did get the bayou running and some other stuff fixed around the house. I still need to get the prop fixed on the boat and the cables installed, as well as seats and a good cleaning.

The kit came in

I got some parts in for the Chevota today. Also got some parts for the Bayou also. Been super busy so I haven't got to start working on them. I have jobs lined up for the next year it seems like. LOL With turkey season coming up some stuff will have to wait till I get atleast one turkey.

Chevota

The Chevota project is underway. Me and the gang got the engine running for a few seconds to see if it held oil pressure, luckily it did. I ordered a rebuild kit for the tranny and moved it to the backyard. I think I'll let it sit till I get the kit and I get some time, before I tear into it. Thing I noticed right away is the brakes need some help and the shocks need to be moved. All the fluids need changed. The diffs need the covers pulled and checked, gears are unknown.
