Low Mileage motors

Man I don't know if its just my luck, 4.3 motors, or what!?!

I'm swapping a Chevy 4.3 into my Toyota at Extreme Gear Off Road and we keep getting low mileage motors from wreckers that have rusted cylinders.
Apparently they power spray them or leave them in the weather with no exhaust manifold and/or TB and the water gets in there, sits and then rusts up the cylinder wall.

Started out as a 1982 Toyota 4x4 SR5 package, bought it from the original owner.

Here is what I started out with...


So far it goes like this...
Front End: Suspension - Trail-Gear 4" springs, u-bolt flip, Rancho 9012's, 2x4 front x-member w/spring hangers, 1.5" shackles, Ford shock towers.

"there has to b something?" I don't know about that but there is a lot of info out there. Not everyone want's show their work in such detail that others can just fab it w/o out buying their product.
Your best bet is to surf the message boards where ppl have build threads surrounding their vehicle from start to finish.
Have you tried the Pirate board? Its the largest 4x4 board out there!

Hey just seen your lookin for a 4.3 chevy motor, I have one I pulled from a generator. It is set up to run on natural gas, and only has around 500 hours on it. Let me know if ur intrested.

can I laugh at the paint job lol Sorry but it obscures the truck's natural lines, thought you were proud that it was a VW? Maybe paint the frame to since it is so visible?
