1967 Began as a copper colored 289 - 4 speed. A mid Illinois racecar at dragstrips like Whitehall, Springfield, Beardstown and Havanna. The Mustang now has a 466 Cu in Shortblock, 429 SCJ heads. C-6 Auto with reverse valve body. 4 link, Ford 9" spool with 5.88 gears. Car had been gutted for racing. Floor pans had been cut away for the frame rail connectors and backhalved. I removed the Aluminum floor pans and racing seats and installed new floor pans and stock seats and carpeting. Car was totally rewired and now autometer gauges fill the dash. Ebay helped me get alot of the missing stock parts, such as wipers and dash switches. Summit and Year One were my choice for parts. Headers and Motormounts to put the 466 in the right place came from Crites Restoration. The new 20 gallon fuel cell replaced a 5 gallon cell. New Mickey Thompson SR Radials all around and Cragar SS 15x6 in the Front and 15X14 Cragar/weld SS bring up the rear. The 67 has an all metal body except the fiberglass hood and appears to have been a racecars since it was new. Absolutely no rust and is Totally street legal. When I bought it the owner claimed it had only a few thousand miles.
