Hey Joe, Nothing is a pain if you are having fun doing it. I would go to advanced adaptors or another adaptor company to find out if you can hook up your 5 liter to the drive train without major machining. As far as the electical it is just a mate...
hey how you doing sir? how is every thing comeing on your willy's? i like the pic's you posted. im trying to post picks of a customers tj i recently did work on after he chewed up front and rear wheel tubs. any how i almost finished the rock sliders for my xj when complete ill send you some pics
thanks for your post. i think the ring is made out od brass copper or some soft metal because its getting mangled too. the spd cbl i have is about 2' too long for the jeep but out of the tree cables i have they are all the same length and are considerd "stock". i can safly test the inner and and outer lenth with one of the old ones i hope. And another question, Is the frame on your 78 the same as my 75? im getting alot of * about how alot of my parts are not interchangleble with some older and newer modles.
Hey Mo - I Don't know if that old 65 Willy is still around , but when i had it , it had a big over head cam strait 6 with a 3 speed colum & talk about low , when you put it low 4 that thing would just crawl .It was kinda blueish green when i had it , i also know that you could load almost a full ton of hay on it ( i have a pic somewhere around her ) cuz it had overload springs on it . But yea were not to far from each other , i have a freind that works at the Prison over there in Tracy . & Man it's sure f---ing shame about what happen to that little girl , i hope they catch the SOB that did that . Anyway mo ttyl & have a good Friday (TGIF) & aawesome weekend. Ed
Mo, anything goin' on with the truck? I have been doin' some small stuff to the svo, not too much, as I don't have a shop to work on it in. Nice 4-wheelin' pics.
Craig
just some info on your comment, all the trucks are not mine, wish i could have that many, but they are friends and families, its clod here in midwest Il (20's to 30's colder at night) waiting for the spring mudd to arive so i can add some more pics, well good truckn to you Karl
Mo which d44 do you have in front end? And the 14bolt full float in the rear is pretty simple. As for gears 4.56 are ok but your willy's is not light and I would use 4.88 to keep some performance. Here is a site to check out for gear's,locker's and axle's drivetrainoutlet.com. They should have every thing you need to complete your build. And the prices are reasonable and wont kill the bank. That is were I pick up parts from for myself and customer's. If you have a regular e-mail I can send you tech info on doing your set up and trick's myself or my dad know to get the job done. Aaron
