2.72 gear ratio is a super low gear for a gas motor 4x4 with any sizeable tire. That ratio is normally found in 4x4 diesel trucks found in the 1979-1985 K-5/3+3 duallys. The 3.08:1 - 3.23:1 can be found in the newer year trucks with the 4speed overdrive transmissions. The lowest number id go on a gas 4x4 that sees light trails and mostly highway,-3.73:1-3.90:1.They can be found in the 3+3 Dually trucks with the 454.Also you might want to look into the 1978-1983 Chevy Cheyenne Camper Special 3/4 Ton 4x4.Peace.
im dorry mine is a 1970 c20 4x4 they made a c20 in 1970 that was a 4x4 do some research on the old chevys and you will find this out it just means custom 3/4 ton! thanks for the reply though
Not disagreeing with that, this site loads pages funny and is layed out funny. Love the old bowtie iron, those trucks would bounce of trees and fence posts and never dent. Lots of room especially in the engine compartment to add stuff.
I'm trying to figure this web site out, nothing I click on works, and if it does the whole page disappears ??? Hopefully everyone got the replies I sent and my photos loaded. I wish they used the regular truck club type template here this is nerve racking !!!
