Feeling the pinch......

I filled up the truck the other day and I thought the pump was broken.... it shut off at $42 dollars...... a couple of months ago it was twice that at least! Glad it's back to normal, I was thinking about riding a horse to work! LOL! Now I can afford a morning coffee with the fillup anyhow. I think we should all write our congressmen and ask for a collective bailout from the Government..... just a bridge-loan to get us through these tough times.... wadyathink?

The hampster wheel

I have no idea who'll read this but hello to anyone who does. Its saturday morning and I'n on my second coffee, waiting to wake up. Trucks is a great job, no question. My personal vehicles seem to take a back seat to the ones on the show though..... some day I'll have time to finish the Mustang up.... I cant wait. lately, with the price of steel up so high, I've seen tons of vintage metal goingto the crusher and it makes me angry! I guess ultimately it's making what cars and trucks are left… Continue

I have pics of the truck and wanted to know what you think of the extra-cab I added myself.  I made it from a quarter shell I bought from a local camper place. I still have a long way before its finished but I would like to know what you think?

Dear Kevin,

I recently bought a 1955 Chevy 2dr. post BelAir.  It has everything I want on it, but the body work underneath the paint is horrible.  Ibelieve that the man that built the car did the body and paint himself and didn't know how.  He maybe even got some budget paint shop to paint it.  All the mechanical work was done right.  The car looks great until you see the sunlight on it.  There are some places where the body filler was not sanded down enough and there are many dents that were not even filled in.  Do I need to strip the cat all the way down to metal and start all over?  I love the car, except for this.  I bought it because it was still a good deal.

Sincerely,

Terry Dilling

Hi Kevin

I'm A fan of your work. I remember a show you did with Steve Magnante on restoring A Mustang and a Tbird, also I remeber that you painted Copperhead for Trucks before you where the host.

The Reason I'm writing is I have a car that's ten years old. It has some problems with rust in the floor boards (I live in PA, go figure ). The paints not to bad but I drive it daily so there are a lot of chips and scraches. I've seen you do repairs on chips but not long scrachs, and I saw you repair rust on the S10K but not my rust is not though the metal yet. I was wondering if you had any suggestions or may be you could tackle it on the show someday? Oh by the way it's a 2000 Firebird Formula that I've been doing a little work to so it's not sething I would want to trade in.

Finaly I don't own a truck right now but have been considering it. The one I was looking at was between the Tacoma and the Fronter. So I'm excited to see your planing to do a show on the Tacoma, but I would love to see you do a show between the two like the Muscle wars one.

Dear Kevin: I have watched your show for a number of years now. I have a 58 Buick Estate Wagon ready for priming, a 49 Merc Half Ton (My driver) that needs spruced up, and a 64 T Bird (My wife's driver). I have the suit, proper air, a good sized compressor 2 stage, and a full mask respirator with air. I understand that the epoxy primers are very dangerous and explosive. Can I do this myself with the furnace off and the garage doors open? Thoughts. Cheers. Michael.
