"Hello everyone Have multiple projects going. Just finished bringing back George Barris' paint & graphics on the Superteen Firebird. Am awaiting paint on the body of my 67 GOAT. Have the frame, suspension, engine, trans,& drive train…"
Hi Jack. I was a member of one of the few folks who won the original cars on the 1968 talent search "Singer presents The Sounds of '68." Our group won the category for groups and received one of the 3 Barris designed cars you see in the photos with Ed Ames. I have attached a photo from 1969 which shows the car in a parade in Albert Lea, MN. The car met an timely end after it got crushed in an accident. I just shudder to think of what the car would be worth today.
Would love to talk to someone about the model pictured in this thread.
Jack,Wow what a beautiful find, and I thought my dad use to have the greatest find his was a 1985 firebird formula limited edition with the front quarter landown top(vinyl)my picture in LFT corner is of a model tribute to it,I understand there were only 50 ever made. Doesn't Pontiac have a way in ruining(spoiling)us?I know im never satisfied with any of my project cars I've done or am doing (4 presently in process)all I've ever wanted is my LITTLE BLACK BIRD back!!Oh ya my dad traded the bird off in 89 fer a 89 GUTlass, worst car he ever had & I've ever SEEN
