See what it would cost with computer etc. Compare that to a LS1 that you may find with 50k or more miles (find out what you need to add to it like computer wireharness, fix anything) may come out better to get new with warranty.

Brad Reiter said… - Eliezer, Hey, my camaro book says: 123- 6 cyl., 124- 8 cyl., 37-coupe, 67 conv., the next # on your vin will be the year model, 9, the next letter N means it came from Norwood, CA, L means made in Van Nuys, CA. The last 5 digits is your production number. These are all in sequence on your vin plate I hope this helps. Only the '72's up vins verify Z-28 RS , Type LT , etc. If #'s match u know what u have.
