"ebay for sure or radio shack ,probably ebay once again would be the best bang for the buck,listed under 12v power supply or 12v converter. "

"oh no i know i have a few inverters in the truck right now. but i say a few that turned the 110 volt from a house into a 12 volt. so it bypassed the battery and ran the electronics off the 110 volt."

"Yea its called a power inverter ,they are good for running 110v stuff as long as you get the right watt inverter,but you really need to run the engine if your gonna use one for a prolonged time,they work well with tvs,fans ,fridges,lights,and so…"

it may sound stupid but try going to a synthed. oil it will also help with mpg
and for the price of the up grade you can put a splash tray in the oil pan that will help a little.

for the cheap upgrades on that 89 chev.. do a air filter. a throttle body spacer and possibly get rid of the a/c pump casue that sucker just eats power. all you gotta do is unplug it and remove it and get a belt for a non a/c engine. you will prob gain a bit of horsepower that way
