"I don't think it will do any good, this is a Mazda engine in the Ranger, one of Ford's better ideas to pass emissions, they get lousy MPG compared to a Ford engine in the same truck."

Ok, So this 98 Ford 4 banger has 8 spark plugs. 2 plugs fire at a time. One on the down stroke and the other on the exhaust stroke to burn off any extra gas/gases to give cleaner emissions. "Most of todays fiberglass parts are well protected with a gel coat. As far as autobody the normal procedure to bend or remove a dent in a fiberglass part is to use a heat gun on low settings. You can also use a hair dryer on high. …"

8 Miles
No this isn't a movie about a rapper. This is a story of a truck owner. Friday morning (4:30 AM) I headed out to work. My commute is 34 miles to my job. I noticed that my battery light was acting up that week along with the voltmeter doing a little dance. I knew the alternator was going out. I had a choice, either call in and swap it out, or goto work, buy the alternator and slap it on after work. I decided on the latter, that way I would get payed and not get a point. 2.5L Mod? Has anyone tried this?
So my little 98 Mazda B2500 has the Ford 2.5L 4 cyl engine with the 8 plugs. While running 2 plugs fire at once. 1 on the down stroke and the other on the exhaust stroke. The second stroke is what concerns me. Whats the point besides igniting unspent gas if the compression is just going out the exhaust pipes? I was thinking of plicing both coils with the same primary feed and making sure the secondary set of wires are in the right firing order. Thus firing both plugs per cylinder. A bit…See More

98 Mazda B2500
This is my new project for this summer. A 98 Mazda B2500. Yes it is a 4 banger, but that is the point. This is a MPG Mod Project that will take some custom aerodynamic body modys as well as some engine tweaks.
