"Well just remembered my father has an old school pressure tester checked all the cylinders, with the valve covers off no bent or broke parts and they all opened and closed so cams fine, found absolutely no pressure at all on cylinder 8 all others…"

Chris replied to John Derek Mitchell's discussion Big Block LS. Why not? in the group engines
"400-500 plus CI Ls street motors are pretty common, I think 700-800 CI BB Ls motors would be sweet. Sign me up for corkscrews of the line."

"Well got the carb rebuilt works great but, started it up and finally noticed the tapping. I think valve train burned, ate, or though up something important, or rounded a lobe. :("

"Kingman is quite right headers intake and carb and a good solid engine rebuild .030 over and some flat top pistons. Still using stock cam so can't speculate on that. I spent 2 G on a good rebuild, and 4-500 on the intake carb and headers."

Sup,

This was my 1974 250 straight six Nova until I put up for sale one weekend.
I got it the second day of 10th grade, traded it the fouth week of 12 grade for a
1976 camaro with a 305.

The Nova was prety much bone stock, except for the head liner the owner befor
put in, the crome rims I put on, air shocks and crome chain steering wheel. It even
had some of the original hoses under the hood, But it run like a raped ape if you
stomped the gas pedal.
