Hi, just thought i would tell everyone my story.. when i was 18 i ran into a guy that worked at a gas station with two 78's, one being a z28 and the other just a plain jane. I couldnt get the z28 from him so i got the other one, now i just finished a .30 over 350 with 2.02 heads, torker intake, a scat crank, procomp rods and some speed pro pistons. The engine should mate up to my saginaw 3 speed like a glove.... now i just need a decent clutch so i dont have to pull the engine in three weeks to replace the stock one. Wouldnt mind some ideas on a paint scheme, thinkin about flat black trim and all.

Ya the firebird is a '78 that my wife bought new, it only has 68000 orig. miles on it. it's got a 305cu.in. w/a mild cam, header's,edelbrock intake, an a 650 holley. The '72 camaro i bought a few years ago for a project for my son and i to fix up, it had a 406cu.in. sb in it that the guy before me had NO idea what he was doing!!so my son an i got this '69 427cu.in 435hp. vette motor, bored '60 over,13:1 compression, (runs real nice) The malibu is a '78 that i got for a steal and i'm fixin that up so i can sell it an try an make a few bucks so i can put the money back into the '72! the 2000 camaroZ28 is my son's car and he's makin that into a nice street car, he's hopin to maybe run high 9's with the A/C on when done
Thanks,it's got along way to go but it's comin along slowly. The reason i got it 3yr's ago was because i had a 77' camaro (looked like your's)( only it was dark blue) but at the time i could'nt find one! Love the red & silver, nice!!
