Does anyone know what happened to Rick Bacon? His comments, emails, and listing on my friends dissappeared......should I take this personally or is there something else going on?
That's a tough one, Jeff. A lot of people are in the wrap business now. We used a new local outfit called Vettespeed.com. But, you want to ask around and find somebody in your area. And, take it from me. It's not as easy as it looks, so don't try it yourself.
I live near san fransisco about 1 hr from sac. The owner of my car club twisted illisionz twistedillusionz.com owns a signs company called SAMs signs samssigns.com and do custom vinyl wraps.
Hey Cg:
How stock is that Camaro? Is that a straight 6? What are you looking to do with it?Buy a good low mileage used 350 4 bolt main. You can find them at junkyards or craigslist.Unless youre looking for real stout power then get a 2bolt main and get splayed caps and have an engine shop mill tap and align home the crank mains.Plus I suggest doing a history of what you have first before buying.Mortec.com has a 95% accurate listing of all smallblock casting #'s giving year and car it came out of.Itll tell you the specs of the heads to see where your performance level is starting from. The engine code is behind the alternator on the head mating surface front and the heads have the casting numbers under the valve cover. You can change the camshaft to an Extreme Energy Cam,Dual Plane manifold w/750 carb,MSD ignition system;headers and performance exhaust.Youll also have to match the rest of your driveline to match the engine afterward with a stallspeed converter if its auto and possibly rear gearing depending on camshaft profile you pick.If it was me..Id stick in a Z06 Vette motor w/6 speed trans and 456 gears.
