The best way I can tell you how to find out if it can handly 150hp's more, is to find out what your gear's are in your rear end. (In your back axle) If they are stock they may be able to handle it, but I would put a differant gear's in there. For I want to find 3:55 possy. That way both tires will grip at the same time. That si what I want to do. I even want to put a Ford 427 under the hood too, for fun and power. Plus I want to being a legend back. I know I am young, but I know about the old motors that were out there before my time. I just have to find a block right now to build up.

OKay the rear end is the rear axle. That is would put's the power to the pavement, and that is were your gears are. Like for a Ford 3:55, 4:11. Stuff like that all deals with the back axle on your car or truck. That is if it is a rear wheel driver, and that is what your drive shaft is hooked to. I hope that helps you out.

Hey Have you checked the accelerator pump? Simply warm up the motor then while idling press on the pump NOT the ARM of the pump. If the motor has NO faulter you need a new accelerator pump.If you get a faulter ,adjust the secondary opening,to a point of no opening at idle! good luck
