Yes,

It 's aftermarket body panels. In the mid 1970's Eckler's Corvette sold this stuff amoung other aftermarket Corvette parts places. They offered: front and/or rear clips, Tilt front ends, whole fenders with flairs, fender flairs, rear spoilers, and front air dams, etc.

Mid year Corvette (1963-67) weren't thought of as rare at the time and most owners modified them. Often after they were wrecked.

Aftermartet fiberglass was much easier (and much cheaper) to repair with than GM fiberglass.

This type of modification was Very common to do this in the 1970's. Now, it really hurts the value of the cars and would be very expensive (and time consuming) to put back to a stock bodied car.

If it's not a rare option car, I'd just enjoy it as is.

As I was telling Eric, these are "NO MYSTERY"...If you are old enough to remember! These modifications are only mysteries to the young.

Randy :)
