So I decided to do a full fluid change on my '93 Sonoma, I have owned it for 8 months and the only thing I have done is change the oil, along with a crap load of ignition parts as you all know from the hot start up problem I had a while back. I decided to put in all synthetics. Though it was a little early, I changed the oil (Valvoline 10-30 with a K&N oil filter), coolant flush and fill (Zerex original), brake fluid (Valvoline Synpower DOT3&4), gear oil (Valvoline Synpower 75-90), power steering fluid (Valvoline), and transmission flush and fill (Valvoline DEXRON-VI ATF). As you can all see I am a Valvoline guy. I used to be a Penzoil fan but when I was doing my first valve lash adjustment on my old Ford F-150, I took off the valve covers and there was this weird waxy stuff on the inside of them. I was on an old forum I am not on any more and there were many testimonials about how Penzoil and Castrol leave that stuff in your engine, so I switched. I have never had a problem with Valvoline so that's what I go with. The next thing on my list is suspension, I just want a sturdy 4-6 inch lift, nothing radical. Right at the time I do that its probably gonna be wheels and tires. I have had my eyes on some 32 inch Mickey Baja Claw Radials, not sure of the rims I want yet. Well, since I have no time to do it, I am bringing my SHO to one of my buddy's houses. He just got laid off and has a whole bunch of time on his hand so he is gonna put on the Crank Position Sensor for me. After I am done with the truck I am going to finish the SHO up. Brakes, trunk lid, shorten the shift lever, and some other little interior parts. The shift lever is my own doing I guess. I was at the parts store, obviously getting parts. On my way out they had the clearance table out in the open, now normally I believe in you get what you pay for and that's why I try to stick with high end parts, but the Dutch in me couldn't help myself. I got a shift knob and boot for like 7 bucks. When I got home I decided to put it on my SHO, when I took the old stock knob and boot off, I threw it out (stupid me, it was trash day and I brought it to the curb). I stepped inside for lunch and while I was in there they came and got the trash. I didn't test fit the new stuff yet and the boot was a little short to get down to the base so I could fasten it down. All I have to do is hack it with a cut off wheel and weld it back together. Simple enough. Type to you all later.

yeah no thanks.lol. it really wasn't the amount that bothered me so much as its the labor. 351.90 isn't high for whatever may be but to find a bad wire and change it is a little rediculous, thats all im saying. well good luck with your repairs and those hospital bills. on behalf of all of us at V6, we hope everything goes well, she will be in all of our prayers.
