My car was used in a movie. The T handle was accidentally removed. Can these be repaired?

Twenty years old! HA! I have my dad's hammers from the 40s & 50s. I have wrenches with USAAF(United States Army Air Force) Back when the airplanes were operated by the "Signal Corp"

Today’s collateral damage. oh by the way Derek I broke the bigger hammer &
4 wheel studs,4 lugs 5 sawzall blades
Good news parking brake spring is in
When I went from drum to disc I would get about 3/8 bite on the lugs
So I thought while I’m here put in longer studs that’s when the day went bad
That’s all I did all day is futz around with the 5 studs and it’s not done!
So the rest of this weekend no car stuff

good point and I have to repair the frame on both sides of the rear axle
Spike Comment by Spike on September 6, 2009 at 5:51pm
Carhugger, Ford did that in 1957. It was the 'Skyliner'. The top raised up & the front folded under the main roof as it moved rearward. The "trunk" lid opens at the front allowing the roof to drop right in. It was kinda neat, but "Oh So complicated". Why do you want to cut the top off ? I applaud all attempts at restyling, but it should be well thought out. I really don't want to 'rain' on your parade. I'm just thinking that it would be sad to find out that it wouldn't work properly after removing the roof. Back in '66, I had a Chrysler Newport HDTP. I considered removing the front part of the roof, making it removable. I planned the latches and waterproofing. I decided it would look great but I didn't have the ability to make it practical. Later porche came out with the 'Targa' top. Go figure.
It wouldn't be too hard to make a steel 'lift off' top. on your Mustang. You would have to add strengthening tubes as making the top removable, or folding, would take away too much of the strength of the unibody.
