sounds like your staying in 4 wheel to me hoss, try disconecting all the linkage and manually putting it in and making sure its in 2 wheel then drive it.

Hey guy, I was looking at a 1976 cj5 with a 304 and 3 speed,He said the rear end was slipping on it or the something in the driveline he said when you get on the road it starters to jerk like something is slipping. So what do to fix this? I can I drive the jeep in four wheel drive and take the back drive shaft out? thanks ritchey

well i fiaaly had to do it,i had to sell my firebird just couldnt afford to fix just to much work and not enough money ,but i ended up getting a new project a 72 chevy c10 has 350 bored 60 over roller cam and rockers ,holley intake carb ,headers and has been lowered 4 1/2 inches in front and 2 1/2 in the rear ,it will scream ill post pics soon

Ritchey I am having the same problem on a mercury mistique 2.0L DOHC. I am going to try to turn the sprockets around to see if the belt moves the other way. If it does the sprockets will need to be replaced. Good luck with yours!

here is a picture of my project under construction,its a 1986 gmc s-15 extended cab short bed,set up for small block chevy,hope too have completed by next year some time.want to come back in super pro or box class.trying to get 11.00 out of the truck i hope,will have to wait and see.???
