My compression averages 66 lbs. In all cylinders. There's on coolant in the oil and a lot of gas in the oil from trying to start it. It's time to get in to it. Anybody - let me know what a job rings can be.
I'm at a point of rebuild or buy a another used motor. I have a 63 valiant signet convertable with all numbers matching. I'd like to keep it original but not sure about the cost of a rebuild. The valiant sat in a garage for 40 years. But the compression is so low it won't fire. It ran when they parked it and it does turn over. I've put in all new points, condenser, cap, rotor, wires and plugs.
have a 1964 Slant 6 Polara 330
Hello slant stars I have a 67 barracuda in ruff shape. No compression when I did the compression test I got 30lbs out of number 6 and 0 out of the other 5. So I added air to all the cylinders and none of them would hold the sir was blowing out the carb. I assume bad intake valves. Order a rebuilt head. I will see what happens after install.
