buddy nelson, wellington ,alabama About my D100 (THE GENRAL LEE POWER WAGON) THIS IS MY 1977 HEAVELY(REDNECK) MODAFIDE DODGE POWER WAGON.I`VE BEEN
WORKING ON THIS RIG FOR A FEW YEARS,AND IT HAS BEEN MODAFIDE BACK AND
FORTH SEVERAL TIMES .I STARTED WITH A $500.00 RIG,WITH A STOCK 318 MOTOR,
727 TRANSMISSIO 203 TRANSFER CASE,HALF TON RUNNING GEAR .WITH 3.55 GEARS.
SINCE THAT TIME I HAVE PUT A 440 MOTOR OUT OF A 1975 WINABAGO,THE 440
MOTOR HAS A 750 ELDERBRACK CARBORATOR,100 AMP ALTERNATOR OFF A 1976
POLICE CAR.WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE WINABAGOS 440 MOTORS,IS THAT THEY HAVE
A WINDAGE TRAY,TRUCK EXSHAUST MANAFOLDS, AND DOUBLE ROLL TIMING CHANE.
THE TRANSMISSION IS A 727 TORQUEFLITE,WITH A 96 DODGE TRUCK STOCK DEEP
TRANS PAN,ON THE 96 TRANS PAN,IT HAS A REUSABLE GASKET, THEN I DRILL A HOLE
IN THE TRANS PAN AND INSTALL A TEMP GAGE,I ALSO DRILL A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM
OF THE BELLHOUSING SO I COULD DRAN ANY WATER OR MUD THAT MAY GET IN THE
BELLHOUSING.I BOLTED A 98 DODGE STARTER ,THE 98 DODGE STARTER HAS MORE
TORQUE AND IS SEAL A LOT BETTER THEN THE 77 DODGE STARTER.I LEFT THE 203
TRANSFER CASE IN THE TRUCK.I HAVE CHANGE THE AXLES TO AN 8 LUG WHEEL PATERN.
THE FRONT AXLE IS A DANA 44 WITH A LOCKER AND 456 GEARS,I TOOK THE FRONT AXL
SHIFTS AND CUT THEM,SO THAT I COULD PUT SNAP RINGS IN PLACE OF THE U-JOUNT
C-CLIPS.I TOOK TWO OF THE LONG LEAFSPRINGS FROM THE REAR OF A DODGE PARTS
TRUCK,AND PUT THEM ON THE FRONT SPRING TO LIFT THE FRONT 4".THE REAR AXLE IS
A DANA 60 WITH 4.56 GEAR LINCOIN LOCK,I TOOK THE ROTORS,CALIPERS,AND BRACKETS
OFF A 1975 WINABAGO,AND MOUNTED THE DISC BRAKE SETUP ON THE DANA 60,TO DO
THIS I HAD TO DRILL THE STUD HOLES BIGGER IN THE ROTORS,THEN I MADE THE
MOUNTS FOR THE CALIPER BRACKETS,WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE CALIPERS IS THE RUBBER
HOSE WILL FIT THE BRAKE LINES THAT ARE ALREADY THERE.THE BOLT HOLES IN THE
YOKES HAVE BEEN DRILLED ALL THE WAY THROUGH FOR BIGGER BOLTS AND E/Z REMOVE,
IF A BOLT BREAKS. THE MOTOR MOUNTS HAVE BEEN CHANE DOWN. THE STACKS IN THE
BED WERE MADE OUT OF A SET OF ROLLBAR LEGS,WITH 3 1/2"RAINCAPS. THE TWO BATTERY
BOXS IN THE BED ARE FROM A F-350 FORD DIESEL TRUCK. THERE ARE TWO WATER TANKS
IN THE BED,OFF TWO DODGE PARTS TRUCKS,THE WATER IN TANKS HELPS KEEP THE MUD
OFF THE WINDSHIELD.THERE IS A SET OF DIXIE HORNS BEHIND THE CAB.THERE IS A
TRANSMISSION COOLER AND FAN IN THE BED,TO KEEP THE 727 COOL, THE COOLER IS OUT
OF A 1964 DODGE VAN,AND THE FAN IS OUT OF A 1987 CHEVY CAVALIER. THE TIRES ARE
15X42X16.5 TLS SUPERSWAMPER THAT HAS BEEN CUT.THE WHEELS ARE CLASS II. THE
SNORKEL IS MADE OF3"PCV DRAIN PIPE,THE TOP OF THE SNORKEL IS OFF A 1984 DODGE

David Hood Comment by David Hood on November 17, 2009 at 9:51am
Hi!, My name is David Hood and I currently been living in Altamonte Springs for about 16 years now. I am 28 years old and been planning on building my custom Diggin Dixie monster truck for about 3 years now. I finally started the build of my truck about a year ago. I contacted Ken Wing at Ken's Tuff Trux to aide me in the building of my monster truck. This truck started out as a daily driver 2006 F250 6.0L Diesel 4x4 long-bed pickup. The process started about a year ago where I decided to build a custom straight frame for the truck. The frame is constructed out of boxed steel (4" X 3" ). I then built a complete subframe out of DOM tubing to support the truck and also to house the transfer case and also to connect the link suspension. The truck suspension is a 3-link design/wishbone setup. The wishbone is built out of 2.5" DOM tubing and the straight link bars are made out of 2.5" DOM tubing. The transfer case that the truck is running is a Super drop SCS Monster Truck case which you can find running in all of the major monster trucks. All of the rod ends are Chromalloy heim joints. The axles are CASE Planetary Axles out of a loader that have been custom braced with waterjet steel that allow the link bars to connect to the housing. The shocks holding up the truck are 3.0" King Custom built shocks with a 3.5" Spring. Also, running a 2.5" Custom built Air shock on all 4 corners to handle the compression of the suspension. The front steering is made up of 2 single hydraulic rams that allow the front to turn right to left with ease. As of right now, the body is currently mounted on the frame with custom built body mounts. Future plans for the truck will include the following:
• Custom built 24V Twin Turbo Cummins Diesel motor producing around 1400hp with 2200 ft/lbs of torque. Motor is comprised of two custom built turbos from Industrial Injection: (Phat Bastard and a silver bullet). The motor also contains a CR,Head Full, Port ZZ Fab intake( A custom sheet metal intake that connects to the head allow individual spray nozzles to connect for direct nitrous). Dual CP3 Pump kit) Motor is being built by Southern Diesel Performance and Repair in Longwood, Fl
• Custom built ATS fully billet tranny with a 5-disc torque converter
• Full Roll cage that ties into the frame for added safety
• Custom built Industrial Injection Intercooler with a spray bar
• Custom built radiator to be mounted in the bed along with tranny coolers
• Complete aluminum oil pan custom built
• All aluminum custom built fuel cell to be mounted in the bed
• 10" Custom built stacks
• 250 shot of nitrous with custom twin bottle mounting inside of the cab
• Custom made steel wheels (34" X 18"W)
• 74" R2 Tractor Tires
• Custom made drop steps that fold up and down by actuators and this can be done by the press of single button
• Full custom interior, including 4-Pioneer 12" Subs mounted behind rear bench seat
• Full custom built door pods containing Pioneer 6" and 4" component speakers
• 11 7" Monitors to be mounted in the cab, 2 per doors, 2 back headrest of the front seats and one in the dash
• 1 14" Fold down monitor mounted in the roof
• Strobes lights for headlights, taillights, and underneath the truck to accent the suspension as well as Blue and White neon to accent the trucks complete powder coated suspension, axles, wheels, etc..
• Full custom wrap for the entire truck
• Key note, truck stands 11' to the top on transport tires. The truck will be 13' 6" on the 74" R2 Tractor Tires without adjusting the shocks.

The truck is currently titled Diggin Dixie and you can find many more photos of my truck at www.kenstufftruxonline.com.

This a photo of my son Alastair Lohmeyer's 89 Mazda B2000. He started working on it when he was 17. It has a 350 Chevy engine with a Chevy turbo 350 auto transmission. The engine has upgraded heads, aluminum intake, and Holley 670 cfm carb. The interior has Recaro electric bucket seats, B&M shifter, and a custom console Al made and upholstered it himself. His friends and myself helped him finish it. He has more plans for it.

Wish I could put all my rides on my photo! My kids and I built this 81 Z28 from an empty $400 shell to what it is today. It is still under construction but the powertrain is complete and it has color!

Hi my name is Frank Gadd, just want everyone to see my 86 s-10 blazer... it all began as a project my father and i bought and were going to fix it up and sell back in 02. Since then it has went from a 16 second putty bomb to what it is now...i have never added up the amount of money i have put in it for fear of making myself sick. The good thing is there has been very little labor costs (engine machining, trans, and rear axle) because i have done almost everything myself. There has been 3 different engine combos, at least 4 trans, and 3 rearends. I have changed the interior color from blue to black (seats were included in purchase, but dyed the rest of interior myself. What started off as a patch job on the quarters turned into a year long rebuild including new quarters, doors, fenders, tailgate and lots of patching and repairing previous owners attempts at bodywork. It has been a long road but it has placed in many car shows and now has run a best time of 11.72 @ 114mph in the quarter (all motor no bottles needed) Specs:
86 s10 blazer 2dr 2wd.
406 cu. in. sbc (engine work by Dale Eicher race engines)
11.5 to 1 compression, Eagle rotating assembly, .550 lift solid flat tappet cam, Patriot performance aluminum heads, Professional products "hurricane" intake,750 dp holley carb.
350 turbo trans, b&m shift kit, tci custom 10"4000 stall converter, b&m zgate shifter, trans was rebuilt by All Star Transmissions.
Ford 9" rearend by Autoweld, 4:11 posi, moser 31 spline axles.

Paint is a three stage orange pearl custom mixed by myself at my place of employment Vavrek Auto Body, materials are Martin Senour.
All major panels were replaced, rollpan, front bumper bolts smoothed, custom hand made cowl induction hood made from a factory stock hood by my father and me, all glasswork was done by Rebel Auto Glass.

Interior is custom covered seats and all inteior panels were removed and redyed black by my father and i,new carpet, gauges are by summit and autometer.

Tires and wheels:
15x4 and 15x8 pacer dragstars. front tires 205/65 15, rear are 275/60 15 bfg drag radials.

Please stop by my powerblock and check out the photos i have there showing some of the work and various photos from the racetrack and so on... let me know what you think, comments are appreciated and thanks for looking.
