Comment by Rich on February 9, 2012 at 8:55am Just pickup a 6.6L 400 out of a 75 Grand Prix to go into my 79 Firebird, is there anything I need to do before putting it in my car. I got the heads done and ready to put it back together, I'm doing to change the clutch when I have the engine out.
Comment by Jim Palermo on January 31, 2012 at 8:06am Hey all,
I have an .86 Fiero 2m4 whose iron duke puke some bearings. There's a surprise. To correct this, I'm transplanting a Quad 4 into it, and am currently looking for turbo and 5-speed to bolt to it. Please post with any leads.
I know the bellhousings are different between Pontiac and Chevy and I think the flywheels are different as well. I have a video detailing swap of the automatic to manual in my sons 79 Camaro, it may give you a few ideas.
