Thanks carhugger, it does have a certain appeal. Unfortunately, it would turn a chalky white/black if I left it that way. Besides I already spent the $500 on the colors I'm putting on it and a little more than that on the clear coat.

Looks like I'll achieve my goal, as long as my brother can get out of a birthday party. We re assembled the hatch, put it and the front and rear bumper covers back on the car. Today is some final sanding and the body is ready for paint!!!

Since no one else is talking I'll add to my last post. Got my jambs painted body color and the doors re-installed! Still have a bit more sanding to do, re-assembling the hatch and installing it, but my goal is two weeks to final paint...

Thought I would add an update, the doors are prepped and the Jambs should be body color this weekend. The body is in black primer and ready to be wet sanded this weekend. The plan is to get the jambs in body color so we can put the doors and hatch back on the car, finish the prep and get the body into it's final color!

I've got some paint on the spoiler, ground effects and mirrors! YAAA! today got the black primer down on the doors, sunday the body will get some touch up surfacer and sanded then hopefully monday we can get it primed black too, then re-assemble the hatch and doors and install them so we can paint it body color. cross your fingers for me

Thanks. It is a great ride! The power to weight ratio is wonderful. Imagine having a Pro Stock dragster for a daily driver! We are really hoping that Jesse will contact us & accept. Maybe if I could get on a certain show it would help? ;)
