Jake, Bruce Horkey has a wood bed kit for your truck he calls it a show floor kit and it drops right in. If you want to haul anything in the box you can pull the insert and use the truck then hose the box out and drop the wood floor back in.

you could put the wood over the metal but it might rot when it rains if not properly sealed but your box is a weld togeather box you need to cut the floor out and might have to modifie the wood bed kit ( witch u can get from lmc truck) depending if you have a stepside or a fleet side

Jake, I am adding Flowmaster 40's to my '81 Cheyenne the sound is just as deep and mellow as any I've ever heard without overpowering the tunes at speed. My LQ4 is just a slightly larger version of the small block of old but with the new LS series technology to make life in the fast lane a little easier.
