Hey guys, I acquired a 87 mustang GT and I'm new to the muscle car world. I'm planning to first change the rotors from 4 to 5 and disc brakes in the rear not drum. Any suggestions or advice thx for the help.

sell the mustang and buy a chevrolet! I'm kidding, kinda. I'm not a ford guy, and couldn't resist a little ribbing there. I am not up on part swaps for mustangs, but would be willing to bet that Willwood makes a kit to do just what your looking to do. Most of the big performance retailers should carry a conversion kit as the mustang front suspension is a popular swap into hot-rods. Check JEGS, Summit racing, Year One, Classic Industries any one of them probably sell a 4 bolt to 5 bolt kit. I would be suprised if they did not. Keep in mind if you change to all wheel disc brakes your going to have to change the master cylinder and proportioning valve as the stock pieces will not operate them correctly. Another thing that just sprang to mind was concerning the rear brake conversion, be sure it's a bolt in set-up unless you have access to a welder or a friend with one and some skills.
