i just purchased a 76 nova 4 door , it has no options ! just an am radio , and crank windows typ of car with a 250 inline 6 and 22,348 original miles. not your typical classic or mucle car. i was thinking since my friend owns a race shop for the import and tuner style cars and has a 950 hp toyota supra engine he took for trade as work on a show car it would be a pretty cool and different thing to do . does anyone else think that this an interesting , worthwhile thig to do , or should i just go with the 572/720 . any food for thought would be appreciated.

that would be cool, especially blowing those Chebbies away, they wouldn't be very happy with you but it would be something that would make your car different, than it is right now. Is that a rear wheel drive motor and does it come with the tranny? As you can see mine, I like something no one else has, I've won 48 trophies so far and it all over the big 3 wooooohoooooo!!!

it is a rear drive format engine and it will bolt to a th 350-400 with already produced adapters. i figure its different, not your typical mucsle car and the car can be street tuned by laptop . in street tune it made 650 hp and got 26 mpg in a 3600lb street supra . in race trim the car went 10.12et at 148mph

that would definitely be unique! me personally i would prefer the 572/720, but thats just my $.02, how much torque could you get from a motor like that? but man, anything with 950 hp gets the thumbs up from me, good luck for whatever you decide

the 572 i believe has 700 lb/ft , the supra engine has roughly 1000 lb/ft in race trim 845 lb/ft in street trim.

Hey Stevie,
I think it would be a cool transition car. I think I saw something like it in the movies, " Too Fast, Too Furious Tokoyo Drift", where he put a similiar engine combo in an early model mustang!

The Nova is definately light enough for that combo to work well and it would be a blast to drive.

Post picks when you get it mounted.
