This is Revell's '94 Dodge Ram VTS Concept Truck. The chassis was painted body color and the frame was painted gloss black. The gas tank was painted steel and the exhaust was painted steel and aluminum.I used the tires and the 4-wheel disc brakes from Revell's '92 Dodge Viper RT/10 kit cause it needed wider tires on it. The interior was painted flat gray. The engine was painted red and the tranny was painted aluminum and the rad was painted gloss black and aluminum. The body and tonneu cover was blue and I used decals from the kit. This is basically the '94 Dodge version of Dodge's Ram SRT/10 of today.
This kit came from Revell's Diamond In The Rough kit. It is built stock. Wow that's kinda freaky,i'm working on a 300C also. It is 1 of 3 that i'm working on,all 3 are in body paint and i started on the interior of 1 last night. The other 2 are revelle's 92 thunderbird supercoupe [i have a real 89]and a 65 fairlane 500 from ERTL.At last count i have 71 assembled and 13 still in boxes, not counting the 3 i'm messing with now.I only have a 35mm camera,so i need to wait until i develop the film before i can post pics.
Hey tbird66 I also build cars.I'm also building a '57 Chrysler 300C.Some of these models I started these a long time ago and I thought I would finish them off.I'm also working on another '73 Dodge pickup but its a stepside with a slant 6 in it.I've got in paint a '66 Johan '66 Cadillac Hearse.I've some that I built in the past and I thought about taking pics of them and posting them.
I like that 77,i'm gonna hafta see if i can find it.You did a good job on both kits,i just personally don;t care for those cameos. Are trucks the only kits that you build? I'd say about 70% of my kits are fords,i have only built 3 trucks and they are all dodges[the lil red express, the warlock and 99 ram].
This is AMT's 1955 Chevy Cameo.I built it as a hot rod truck.First I changed the wheels from stock to a pair of Cragars from AMT's '37 Chevy and the tires are from my parts box. Then I de-chromed the grille, front bumper, haedlight bezels and taillight assembly. The body was painted baby blue then I used Bare Metal Foil on all the trim.I opened up the grille. The bed floor was painted a wood color then I used Bare Metal Foil on the bed strips. The inerior was left stock, but the dash was painted body color and the rest was painted flat gray. The engine was painted orange and I added spark plug wires, rad hose and dual exhaust. The exhaust was painted steel and aluminum.
This is AMT's '77 Ford F350 kit.The kit is basically built out of the box.The chassis was painted gloss black and the exhaust was painted steel and aluminum.I primed the body and left like that then I added Bare Metal Foil to all the trim.I used flat black to detail the grille.I changed the tires and they are from Revell's Jeep Honcho kit.The box cap came with the kit and all I did to it was cut out the door and made a hinge out of telephone wire. The interior carpet was painted flat black, the dash and inside doors were painted gloss blue and painted the door panels flat gray and the bench seat was painted flat blue with a flat gray insert. The engine is Ford's 460 cu.in. and it was painted Ford blue.
Thanks Tbird66.The wheels are stock but the tires r from my parts box. When AMT re-issued the kit they didn't include the wide tires and the regular truck tires just look right on the truck so that why I went to my parts box actually the tires r from AMT's '49 Merc Custom from the '80's.I will b post more pics of some of my models.
