I am starting a new build and craming a 5.9 cummins in to a 52 M37 Army truck. I am looking for any insight on the best turbo and cam combination to lessen turbo lag and get up to 500 + hoares. I beleive the stalk injector pump will work but I will up grade the injectors. Any insight will be welcome. and yes this is a budget build.

mine i got for $800....it has a 70s model 302.....edelbrock performer intake holley 4 barrel carb....mild cam...bbk shorty headers....3.73 positrack rear end ..... a b&m shifter..and flowmaster exhaust..i put a fuel pup block off plate and n electric pump on it .......when i got it home it wasnt running the timing was 180 degrees off and the plug wires were on it wrong and the mechanical fuel pump on it was not the right one.....but now it runs like a champ

Ya its the small one. i got it for $150 with 150,000 miles with a newer v6 with 54 and change.it doesnt have a spec of rust and rot on it.I got the 302 out of by buddys 77 mustang ii $150. i am rebuilding it so i can blow his and his brothers comaro and firebirds away. its going to have a crank, cam and a hole bunch of more stuff. i also planed on getting a limited slip rear end out of a mustang because one wheel peal is not cool in the school parking lot. i have been in vocational school learning how to fix cars but not how to modify them. I am also going to try to race my friends 68 dart with a 318. i have some pics of it on my profile and some really bad burnouts i did.
