Jack has a good way to look at it. Take one small project at a time, instead of the hole car. Thay way you want cut corners. I am still working on the suspension on the 1972 Lemans. If I do the body work by myself I will need suggestions from you guys.

I did that and kept reminding myself that you eat an elephant one bite at a time, I'm near the finish but weather has me stalled. I can wait, there's the matter of finding those composite lights for the car to deal with so I can keep myself busy with that and helping my brother out. But in spring it's hard at it again so I'm ready to actually take the car to car shows by summer

It helps to think of the project as many small projects. For instance, "Today I will make the LF fender ready for paint." Accomplishing those small projects can keep you motivated for the big project.

The real reward is how the car turns out when you don't cut corners because you want it done now.

It is so tempting to rush and finish your wet sanding and finish work, but don't do it. I had a shop do my car and I ended up doing everything over myself. The worst of it is that I am a beginner in body work. Gene-o I know you are patient. You have done such a good job already. Your ideas sound good. Marty I know what you mean. You want to finish, but patience is a good reward.

well said Marty, I've been fighting the urge to call up a buddy of mine to use his "heated" garage so I can finish wet sanding and polishing my car. I know he'll say yes, but there isn't enough light to see everything clearly. I just know I won't be satisfied when I take it home. I can wait for spring and those nice warm sunny days in spring so I can roll it out in the sun and see everything. Besides, it gives me a chance to add more custom ideas to my plate, as if morphing in composite head lights and relocating the antenna weren't enough.

Daniel, as someone who just finished a similar project, I've one piece of advice. Don't rush to the finish line. It's now, when the project is "almost done" that the temptation is greatest to just get'er done - cutting a corner or two on the way. Don't fall into that trap! Your patience will be rewarded.
