Wow this is great maybe I can get some opinons and help.
My current situation is this: I bought an old nova with a 327 in it and a tunnel ram with 2 450cfm holley carbs. It is a bit of a mystery engine I ran the numbers and it came back a 63 L79 327.I removed the tunnel ram and replaced it with a weiand team g intake and an 850 cfm BG carb. Is this carb to big? The car has world product sportsman2 heads .aftermarket springs ,locks and Keepers..and a forged crank from the factory. In my head I'm think 850cfm is less than the 2 450s so Im actually getting less gas,or am I way off here? any help is appreciated.

I'm in SW Missouri. Right this minute, I'm OK. I will have a need for tuning methods on two cars. One is (or will be) a '49 Ford sedan that will be given a 283 SBC-auto, 2nd is a '53 Ford PU with a 302-auto. One will run a 600 EDEL. carb, the other will be a Holley 650 vac sec. The PU is first up. It's getting rebuilt & an AOD is replacing the C-4. I think it's good that the AOD is non computerized. Anyway, when the PU gets back to running I'll need help with jetting & adjusting. I'll be checking in to read the ideas & suggestions here.
Thanks, Spike

Here is a Holley 500 cfm 2 bl with choke on a rope. I had it rebuilt 3 years ago and haven't had any problems with it since. It took a little while to figgure out what size jets to put in it cuz it's in a 69 International Harvester pickup and they took larger jets than normal. It gives plenty of juice to this motor.
