Ya, its hard now-a-days. Money is tight for everyone. I got this one to trip back and forth to see my son. Its a little over 100mi so summers will be nice. Winter still gotta drive the pickup.  Why did you go back to the stock size tire? and to a 16in front?

The one that I ride was a lot like your when I first got it I change the front wheel from 21 to 16 the rear front 200 wide back to stock and seat and fender's when I got mine it was in box's some one else had started it and run out of money when I got it that was in 03 I'm still not done I do a little to it when I can

Thanks. Ive got some wiring to do, then changing the seat and tank. Want to go to a 4-5 gal and a larger seat. Build up some more money then do a different wheel/tire and fender. Just keep going from there.

Well Walt, I don't know if you're looking at this, but here goes.  An acquaintance of mine has a problem with equilibrium. He has a FXR that has a conversion done that adds 2 extra wheels on the back of his bike.  Less expensive than 3 wheel conversion.  Unless you really know what to look for, it looks like a three wheeler.

Stephen,

I started to get excited thinking it sounded like you were going to get your former bike back.  Sorry to hear that your story went south.  Unfortunately greed has become stronger than good will.  If I win the lottery I'll buy your bike back for you and your son!  That would be my way of paying it forward.  You see, my brother gave me my first HD, a full blown custom '69 883.  If it weren't for his generosity I couldn't afford a bike.  Maybe the guy that has your old bike will get a conscience and work something out with you.  Good luck.

Upstate New York and what little snow we got this winter is gone already.  I got the 883 out my storage, got it inspected today and went riding.  Never been able to ride in March before around these parts.  Tomorrow will be even nicer so I'll be on the road again tomorrow too!
