Cool thanks man I figured it was the switch, but i figure ask around and get some ideas first, shes still off the road right now so i might just throw a newer tilt column in her. solve 2 problems at once.

hey joe....if its not dieseling at all the i would check the switch out...thats what happened in my 86 chev before the switch went completely out....it wasnt dieseling out it just was still running, then the switch completely died...do u know how embarassing it is to have to hotwire you own truck? lol

hey guys heres a quwestion to ponder your minds. with my 82 stepside, i'm trying to solve a problem. what do you guys think this could be, when i shut my truck off the engine stays running for a second or two, but its not dieseling over its just like the ignition switch got lazy, it does feel a little stiffer than it should feel though. i've asked this question to a bunch of guys and they all tell me its timing but i dont think so i think its the ignition switch. any input you guys got let me know. thanks, Joe

I assume that awesome looking panel is an early suburban or carryall? Bitchin' paint job! Here is my work in progress with just the interior left to do and creature comforts. Originally was a 6,2 diesel converted to 521 BBC . Any BBC questions welcomed. I am looking for a nice comfortable seating arrangement for the 82 any suggestions would be appreciated. Has anyone used the Spector-Autometer digital dashes and what is your opinions?
