my 95 yukon was running fine, it sat for some time and now it wont start when it does start i have no problem for the rest of that day.then the next day i'm back out there with it for another half hour. i have done all the routine checks( spark, fuel ) with no luck . this started after i put some fuel stabilizer in it for the winter. i put a new 350 in it and it still did that. i am now putting in another 355 and would like this not to continue is there any one that can help me. thanks
i don't think it would be the fuel stabilizer that caused the problem, when i bought my gmc it had some what the same problem in it the first one was a bad ground on the fuel pump down by the gas tank i thought it was the fuel pump but when i took the tank down i found that the wire had a intermitant brake in it . 2nd then it ran fine for awile, when it started a new problem, turn over fuel up to the back of the TBI , not at the injectors. had spark . this turned out to be the distributor bushing was worn out. replaced the dis. look at my page and you will see how badly it was worn. if you take and try to move the rotor and feel play in it this could be the problem. are you using the same dis?
