Horray..Comp gave me a full refund... I put the bottom end of the 427 together this weekend, ran out of time to finnish, so can not do the rest until next week. I will take some pics and upload soon

THe latest update: I have found a new/ old 1968 block that has never been bored, and has tested solid ($600) I got a new Cam had it nitrided and hyd lifters $475 total from Comp, having crank ground and polished, pistons polished, new rings and block bored 60 over, spring rate redone (no more solid lifters) , and of course I am getting a larger Holley 850cfm carb, I have a 650cfm speed Demon with 2k miles on it if anyone wants it cheap! and a new aluminum radiator, looks like I will be about 3 to 4 grand when done (don't forget plumbing and gaskets etc), I have sent Cam and lifters back to Comp, I hope they give me a refund on the other Cam and lifters I bought..I hope to be putting it all together this weekend, and maybe have car on road next week..

why bother? just get a new block and save your self the time, i mean if the cyl walls are that badly done up, toss it. just get a new one. i didnt read the whole conversation but after reading as much as I did, dont waste the time.

Spike
asked toady about sleeving and was told that it isn't a option for this block, and it would also mean new pistons, but thank you for the thoughts

How about sleeving the block. I see it as a repair regularly.

Wish you all the best, whichever way you take it.
