So far so good.Your Edelbrock 800,performer cam/intake has made a HUGE difference in my Cutlass' performance.

did you degree it? is it set up corectly?is everything working corectly?what are the specs on the cam.roller or flat?hyd? heads??springs?not enough cam??toomuch cam?

Guys,

My rig is not tuned correctly, its burning rich, I dont have the fancy tools to fix it, is it any way to get the edelbrock card tuned by ear. Here is my situation I strat the car it idels very hard, then I tap the gas, it drops down to what I would say would be a normal idle.

1. i dont know if it because the electronic portion of the carb is not setup or if it is becuase the its just tuned wrong.

Any help would be appreciated it.

make sure your timing isant  coming in & out.that will cause hunting.vac leaks also cause it.power valve /power piston /spring can in some carbs cause it.you dont want to be too rich but you are right about not going lean.in general the higher it gos the more fuel it likes. air bleeds are also a way to tun it.but you need to know what does what on the carbs you have.If I knew 20 years ago about air corection jets that I have learned in the past 6 years with my webbers(44IDF X2) tuning would of been easyer.but I realy never had any problem tuning my tunnelram with 2 830 cfm hollys. the car looks like fun, I miss mine wish I never sold it.
